Problem
In response to the expanding business volume, EpiBuild as a design and marketing consulting company needed new Corporate Identity to better identify with customers. The CEO explained that the current logo lacks recognizability and it isn't adaptive to all medium. A new logo and corporate identity is needed.
Goal
Create a new logo and establish a design system for the company's corporate identity.
My Role
I was the designer for the new EpiBuild Logo and corporate identity. I worked with the stakeholder throughout the entire process of designing.
Design Process
Before starting the design, I researched the company's founding story and mission statement. Then I met with the stakeholder and discussed the goal and the message that they wish the new logo could convey.

The Epi of EpiBuild came from the work Epiphany: A sense of enlightenment
The Build of EpiBuild represents the services that the company provides. EpiBuild helps clients to realize their business idea and expand their market reach.
At the beginning phrase, I explored different Typefaces and Wordmark compositions. And settled on the Stacked composition.
Some Brand Theme Colors were defined during the process.
The main reasoning behind these color choices were to represent the sky, sun, and ocean. The overall bright tone helps to bring out positive and light energy.
First Logo Concepts
After present the first design iteration to stakeholder, feedback was received and changes were made during the second attempt.
Second Logo Concepts
Third Logo Concept
More feedback was received from the second concepts. Stakeholder wanted to incorporate lightbulb as a metaphor for Epiphany (The meaning behind "Epi")
Fourth Logo Concept
The CEO wanted the letter "e" to look more like the filament. Some exploration were made. the CEO was satisfied with one of the lower case "e" iterations.

Lessons learned
From working continuously with the stakeholder during the design process, I learned that iterative process is crucial and necessary for a successful design.
I also learned that it's critical to consider context and cases of implementation for whatever product you are designing.
Next Steps
Implement new logo and apply the consistent design system into every business collaterals and all other business medium and see if more modification is required for better visibility
